Magic Rank Tracker keeps track of your search engine rankings or results over time. Set up your campaign to track by entering your domain, your keywords and selecting your search engines and with scheduling enabled it should run seemlessly in the background. With multi threading and proxy support it can scan 100 keywords in a minute. Why this tool over any others?

Alexandr Krulik (The author of Magic Submitter) is the author of this software so you'd expect great things but it feels like a beta version as I'll explain below:

Magic Rank Checker Feels Like a Beta Version

After running the search to find your competitors keywords and adding them to your list, it does not automatically remove duplicates! In fact there isn't even a button to do that, you have to select them individually and lets say you are tracking a few hundred keywords it is simply unmanageable.

The software will compare your rankings in one engine with the previous ranking check for that engine but it doesn't allow you to choose the previous date and so if you have it running in the background checking rankings daily, it will only compare them daily which for monthly ranking reports is impossible. The export to Excel is basic but acceptable. Of course it is nothing compared to the reports that can be generated by ranking checkers such as IBP.

Adding a new search engine or engines is easy enough if you want to add say google.co.uk but I would expect it to automatically run a report for that search engine on the current campaign but it doesn't and there is no option to do that, same issue is true when adding new keywords to a campaign.

I'm not sure if the scheduling funtion is working correctly as leaving the computer on overnight did not result in a ranking check update.

Usability is let down by the ambiguous icons used in the software,it would be better for them to also be labelled.

It is a new release but feels like a beta and so I would recommend waiting for the review of a later stable release or check out Internet Business Promoter which while more expensive handles so many more SEO tasks and provides professional reporting of ranking checks which can be offered to clients for a fee.
